Specialist Interventional Cardiologist

After graduating with First Class Honours from the University of Tasmania in 1995, Dr Flood completed his advanced training in cardiology before undertaking an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Prince of Wales Hospital. He has subsequently held senior leadership positions in cardiology, including Chairman of the Cardiology Section at both Sydney Adventist Hospital and Norwest Private Hospital.

Over the course of his career, Dr Flood has performed a large number of coronary angiograms and angioplasty procedures and has successfully implanted thousands of coronary artery stents.

Dr Flood combines extensive procedural experience with a strong commitment to personalised patient care. He believes that patients should understand their condition, their individual risk factors and the treatment options available to them, and places particular importance on clear communication and an approachable style of care.

With medicine and interventional cardiology continuing to evolve, Dr Flood maintains a strong interest in new research, technologies and treatment techniques, with the aim of providing care informed by contemporary evidence and tailored to each individual patient.
